Update on life and the comics

Sat Nov 21, 2009, 2:50 PM
So, after editing and editing the Marvel wiki, I was searching GOOGLE for a cover of one missing issue in the data banks, and found an ad next to the pic, one that may change my life today or tomorrow: [link] I clicked on it and found the website I have been searching for for months now. I found writers looking for pencillers... many, many writers, and clicked on one who was looking for help. I messaged the man, and I might be able to draw a book he is submitting to two publishers. I am deeply hoping he will let me draw it, as this will jump-start my career! All I have to do is submit some art of mine and hope he likes it!!

COMICS NEWS:
I finished some of the overdue books. As I hit yesterday I have now three overdue, and I am working on one. I am not as stressed as last time with six overdue, and I am closer to finishing my Unstoppable X-Men story. Issue 5 of 5 was supposed to come out yesterday, but I am still not finished issue 4. Issue 5 will have five variant covers that I will show here. Until next time, I hope I will bring GREAT NEWS!!!!!!

Okay, I'm still in high school. I do, like many others, get high, drink, whatever. I find my peace in drawing, writing, and sometimes even painting. My sister is the one who I give my thanks to. She introduced me to drawing, and Spider-man. I started drawing at 5 years old. After doodles and whatnot, I decided, during History in November of 2007, to make a comic called, The Unstoppable Spider-man. I made 18 issues, which I thought were fun to read and so did others, but in fact, the dialogue was better than the art. So, after the 18 issues of Unstoppable Spider-man, I drew 5 issues of Unstoppable Hulk. In those fun 5 issues, I taught myself how to draw human anatomies, and my art upgraded. Then came the other series called the Unstoppables/Unbeatables. I made 22 issues of that. The first 10 issues were crap because I made each issue after each week. Also, in my idiotic position, I used a pen that smeared and appeared on the other side. After that, I used another, better pen (note: I always used pens), and the art was magnificent. After 13 issues, I got my friend to write the remaining books. In issue #17, where (I dare not say ~~racist~~), my art hit top-notch. After a month of relaxation, and preparing for my best issue called the Unstoppable Spider-man 2 #1, I continued my books, using .5 led pencils, and another pencil (which I don't know the led). I plan to make 27 issues of The Unstoppable Spider-man 2. The writer quit, so I'm on my own, searching for new writers. I even started the Unstoppable X-Men, a 5 issue mini-series. I'm packing myself up with another series starting in November. Anyways, that's my life as an artist. I'm trying to find a bunch of artists who can give me tips to one day get into Marvel comics. Cheers, everybody.

It takes alot of balls to call ones own artwork "top notch".

I wrote that on one of my own? Could you tell me which one?

Had the dream since I was 2 years old, when I picked up a pencil and paper for the first time. I will get into Marvel, one day or another.

People, watch out. I look for the mistakes too, but only to help :)

Oh, okay. I see now, in my ID. Well, the art was the best I ever did, and I was really proud of it. I will submit a few pages to show you.

It wasn't meant as offense, so please don't take it the wrong way. Showing the initiative to create your own comics is a MAJOR plus when looking to get into this industry.
I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about what you meant. Confidence can VERY easily be mistaken for cockiness on the internet.
You should be proud of your artwork. I know I have pieces in my gallery that I think are my best work, and I've said that it's my best work. But I try not to generalize by saying that it's top-notch or even that my artwork is great artwork.
I'm usually extremely humble and place alot of emphasis on how much I still have yet to learn, regardless of how far I've come in my career, and how good I feel my artwork is. I know comic artists that have been working professionaly for nearly 2 decades that are continually saying they're blown away by artists here on DeviantART that are half their age.
My main point with the OP was that it's best to choose our words carefully just for the sake of making sure that no one takes what we say the wrong way.
Regardless, you show alot of promise in your gallery. Keep up the good work.

No, I'm not taking it the wrong way at all. I understand what you mean. Would you mind to comment on my art for tips or mistakes I may have not seen. Be free to use negative comments as well as positive, it will help me. Thanks.
